I covet your prayers...

I've been suffering silently with this Interstitial Cystitis, and I've decided it's not a good thing to be silent. I want as many people praying as possible. I was basically in bed or the recliner all day yesterday with bladder spasms and pain. We didn't get to do anything fun for Labor Day. I was hurting too much. I went to the urologist today and had my first bladder instillation. It's where they cath me and pour meds straight into my bladder. It was definitely painful, but the nurse assured me that it will get better. I have to once a week for 5 more weeks.

I've been researching IC over the weekend and have become very depressed about it. Basically, the disease controls most of your life if you let it. That's why I'm posting on my blog. Many of you already know the depression issues that I face daily. This is really not helping anything. Please help me pray that God will heal my bladder. I know things could be much worse. I'm so thankful it's not bladder cancer. The dr. said to think of it as your bladder lining as an open sore. It takes time to get that way, and it takes time to get better. I'm praying that God will heal me completely with no trace of IC.

One more prayer request... the bathroom issue at school. I seem to do fine until the afternoon. After lunch at 12:00, I don't have another time to go until 2:45 at the end of the day. It's killing me. My principal said that I can ask Donna next door, and Donna has been so kind. I just can't do that every day. It's interrupting her teaching. I'm trying to find a person at school who could come let me go to the bathroom and stay with my kids.
