Shopping Story

Yesterday, we were so embarrassed. We are at the mall shopping. Makenna was in an umbrella stroller. This lady walked by, and I heard her say, "That's not nice." I really thought she was on a blue tooth phone. (You know when people seem to be talking to you, but are on the phone with someone.) Anyway, she came back by and said, "Ma'am, did you know that your daughter is sticking her tongue out at everyone as you walk by?" I was mortified. First of all, I couldn't believe Makenna had done it (not that I think she's an angel, she's just usually Miss Social and loving people), and second of all, I couldn't believe someone was bold enough to say something. (People are crazy these days. I would never say something to someone.) Randy got close to Makenna's face, and they had a little "chat". Makenna didn't say a word until we got to the car. I'm sure we'll look back on it years from now and laugh! For now, I don't think we have to worry about Little Miss Social Butterfly sticking her tongue out! :)

HA!!!! I would have said "Yeah, we taught her to stick her tongue out to people who are mean looking." J/K When Amelia was maybe 18 months, we went into a store downtown where there was a variety of stuff, some kids stuff, some house stuff it was crammed packed so it was hard to even get an umbrella stroller in. Amelia was trying to touch some things and the lady came over, picked up some little candle plate, clicked on it with her nails and said to me "These are breakable" -- I think she was wanting an apology instead I said "Then don't put them at a baby's level" and walked away. I don't mind people saying some things, but sometimes its just unnecessary and they should mind their own business. :)

You know I can't believe the things people don't mind telling you, such as...you sure need to color your hair, ha ha like I didn't already know this. You look horrible today, never mind that you feel great and thought you looked half way decent. Oh well...it makes ALL kinds to make this world go around. If that had been me and I saw a little child doing it, I would have smiled and never said a word and marked it up to a "child" doing what children somtimes do!!! As for the lady, she should have kept her nose in her own business!!!!!
