Happy 2009!

Memories of 2008...

God has blessed our family tremendously. My dad survived a near fatal internal bleeding issue. Randy has found a new doctor at MUSC that seems determined to help him. Makenna loves school so much that she was disappointed for Christmas break to come. I went to Seattle on a mission trip that nourished my soul. It doesn't get any better than being with 100 teenagers praising God.

We lost Randy's Papa and my uncle Henry, but we rejoice knowing that both of them are in Heaven. We have found a new church. The people are so genuine and really want to serve God. Makenna is participating in all kinds of activities and loves going. I was diagnosed with interstitial cystitis. I'm limited with what I eat and drink, but I also know why I've hurt so long and had bladder infections over and over. I've also got over my fear of some medical procedures because I didn't have a choice.

My classes at school are sweet. Most of my students try really hard and want to learn. I work with many Christians, and our superintendent is not afraid to mention Jesus Christ. It doesn't get any better than that! I've struggled to get a grasp on this new math curriculum, but it is improving. After I get a year of it down, I know next year will be easier.

I'm not usually one for New Year's resolutions, but I want to make myself accountable. So here is the short list...

1 - EXERCISE! With the IC, I'm getting my water in. I just now need to get off of my rear end and exercise.

2 - Stop working 45-50 hours each week. I need to spend more time with my family and quit being such a perfectionist at work.

3 - Learn scripture. Memorizing is not my thing, but I'm going to try.

There are more, but these are the main three! I pray that God will strengthen me to allow me to accomplish these goals.

Happy 2009! Oh my goodness... 2009! My 20 year high school reunion year! Wow... I can't believe it!
