Anyone have any great ideas for Christmas games??? This is the first year that I haven't changed classes on the last day before break. I have my homeroom all day with enough time to play some games. I've found a few online, but I thought some of you might have some suggestions.

Here are 2 fun ones that we have played with our Senior Adult group (which are CHILDREN at heart)
"I Packed Santa's Bag" . Sit with your group around the room...so everyone can see one another. The first person starts by saying "I packed Santa's bag and in it I put...", then they say what they put in there. Such as a teddy bear. Or in the case of 10 years olds...Santa's bag might be packed with a toilet, or boogers. Anyway...you get the idea. You can pack Santa's bag with anything. So the first person says their item, then the next person goes...they say "I packed Santa's bag and in it I put a teddy bear, and a fruitcake..." The third person says "...a teddy bear, a fruitcake, and a TV". And so on. Each person must say everything that was packed before and add their thing. This can go on for quite a while. You will find it amazing how many things you can remember...we would end up looping around the room several times. If you miss, you are out.
"The Twelve Days of Christmas"
Play the song 12 days of Christmas.
Each of the twelve days of Christmas corresponds to a month of the year. Eg. First day = January, second day = February, etc.
When the verse corresponding to your birthday month is sung, you stand up; when it's finished you sit down. You *also* stand up whenever the gift for that day is sung in the chorus.
For example, my birthday is in March, so I stood for "On the third day of Christmas my true love sent to me three french hens" and ever after whenever we all sang "...four calling birds, [stand up] three french hens [sit down], two turtle doves..."
Once you get four or five verses into the song, you have people popping up and down like crazy.
Great fun. Hope these help :-) Have fun!!!
