Makenna's 7th Birthday

Could it possibly be true???
Is there any way that my "baby" is 7 years old?
I have to say that Madi is her best birthday present ever.

About to walk out the door to go to school... check out her #7 shirt I got off www.etsy.com.

This is the back view... precious!

"Mom, if you're taking my picture, I'm taking your picture."

Because everyone in Randy's family couldn't go out to eat on the night of Makenna's birthday, we decided to go the next night. Randy, Makenna, and I celebrated at Texas Roadhouse. We had the best waiter, and I saw 2 of my former students. What could make the night any better??? KIDS BOP 19 of course!!

A sweet shot with Daddy

The yummy dessert from our waiter...

The next night, my family and Randy's family helped us celebrate at Copper River Grill. Aunt Cindy got this card for Makenna, and it looks just like Madi. Too cute!

Blowing out the #7 candle... wonder what she wished for???

What a beautiful cake...

Papa and Nana got Makenna just what she wanted... a Spy Net video watch.

We had her birthday party last Saturday at Kid Senses Museum. It was so much fun. It was very affordable, and everyone (including the adults) had fun.

Cooking at the cafe...

Posing with Uncle Kevin and Katelyn

"Did anyone order a hamburger?"

Makenna and Mary-Patrick (aka MP)... am I the only person that sees sneakiness in these
4 eyes???

Amelia and Isabella came too.

Papa and Nana were waiting to be served at the restaurant. :0)

Isn't this the coolest cake ever??? A lady at our church, Blythe Harrell, made it for us. Makenna just told her that she wanted a pink guitar cake. Blythe asked me exactly what I wanted, and I told her to just use her creativity. She did great! It was half chocolate and half vanilla.... and delicious!!!

Makenna loved opening the cards. She has decided that she wants an Ipod. Randy and I think she is too young for it, so we told her that she had to save her own money to buy it. Every card with money is one step closer to her Ipod.

She had just shown me this doll not too long ago when we were shopping for something else.

Makenna and Katelyn practicing for their television news careers.

More money from Aunt Lib... how sweet was that? She didn't have to send anything. She is Makenna's great great aunt. She is my late grandmother's sister, and she lives down the road from us.

Grandma took her turn at the newsdesk and was GREAT!

Trying to decide... in front of the camera or behind the camera???

Katelyn and Makenna took at turn.

As we left the museum, we had to take a last picture!!!

A couple more last pics... playing with Sara and Elana. I love moments like this!

Dearest Lord,
Thank you for the blessing of Makenna. She is the apple of our eyes, and her presence in our lives reminds us of Your love for us. We are thankful that her birthmother CHOSE LIFE, and because of that choice, You gave us the desire of our hearts... a baby girl! I will never forget!! Adoption is the closest thing on Earth that help us know how much You love us!
We love you!
