The last month has been extremely full... I'll try to catch up.
The most important thing that happened in the last month is that Makenna asked Jesus to come into her heart. She was saved on April 2, which was my maternal grandmother's birthday. Makenna had been asking lots of questions about salvation, but we didn't want to push her into a decision she wasn't ready for. We had gone on a picnic with Randy's sister and our nephew that day. That night, when I was drying Makenna's hair, she said, "Mom, today has been a bad day." I was blown away because I thought the day had been great. Then, she said, "I'm such a horrible sinner. I've sinned all day long. Do you think Jesus could clean up my heart from all of these sins?" After Randy and I talked to her a few more minutes, she decided to pray the sinner's prayer and become a Christian.
She was baptized on April 18 by Rev. Reggie Parker at our church. Many of our friends and family (including my mom in a wheelchair) were able to come. It was a special day!
Speaking of my mom... she had an ER trip right before Easter. She couldn't breathe, and my day had to call an ambulance. After they finally decided that it was her meds, she had been doing much better. This past week, her ankle began throbbing painfully. She went to the dr. on Wednesday and had another surgery on Thursday to clean out infection. Please continue to pray for her complete recovery.
I'm including lots of pics... enjoy!
