Busy! Busy! That is the only way to describe October when you are a teacher! We have a teacher workday at the end of October each year. If we meet with all of our parents for conferences, we get the day off. My partner, Donna, and I have 45 students. Our day off was Oct. 23. If we calculated all of our hours, we have earned about a week off. :)
Randy is healing. He still can't sit for a long period of time, but he is much better. His incision is still pretty swollen. I guess it is to be expected. Today has been 3 weeks since his surgery. He still can't lift anything. We have felt the prayers of all of you.
Makenna is still loving K5, and she is STILL having sleep issues. They've been going on since she was about 2 1/2 or 3. I told her the other night that she needs to give up on the idea of sleeping in the bed with us. She's been trying it for years, and it hasn't worked yet. Because I couldn't handle getting up with her every night trying to convince her to go back to sleep, she now has a sleeping bag in our floor. She can come there if she can't sleep. So far, she's made it to the sleeping bag every night. I dream of the day that she will go to sleep with no issues and sleep all night all of the time. I guess by then she'll be leaving to go to college! :)
Makenna's latest fascination.... body parts! Particularly, armpits! She says the word and dies laughing, thinking she's hilarious. I told her to quit acting like her Daddy!
Hope everyone has a great Halloween! I'll post pics ASAP! She's going to be Tinkerbell!
