I went to the urologist today to have a bladder installation, and I feel a lot better. Even though I've done it many times, being catheterizes traumatizes me. I HATE IT!! I guess that's how I know the IC is really bad, because I just say do it.
There may be people out there who don't know about interstitial cystititis. It is the chronic inflammation of the bladder. The best way I can describe it is that your bladder feels like it has roadburn with alcohol being poured on it. I've tried to control it with food. It kills me though because I LOVE oranges, tangerine, and pineapple. They are some of the foods that make it worse. I think this flare was started by pepper on a steak this weekend. I didn't even think about it while I was eating it. I also miss slushes and especially lemonade. The only 2 drinks I can have are water and decaf tea.
On a much happier note, Makenna has announced that it is time for her baby sister to be adopted. :) She is going to feed her and change her diaper. :) I've always had the desire to adopt again, but I wanted it to be what God wants, not what I want. Who knows???? Maybe Makenna has an early case of woman's intuition!
