1. First of all, I almost spoke too soon with the virus being over. Thankfully, I felt better yesterday (finally) in time to go to our school talent show. It is amazing to see how 4th, 5th, and 6th graders have so much talent and creativity. I'm sure we're going to hear lots of positive things about these children in the future.
2. Disneyworld... many of you know we had planned a trip to Disney before Randy lost his job. After much soul searching, we've decided to go ahead with the trip. It was already paid for, so it was just a matter of deciding if we needed the $$ for something else. I really think that Makenna is going to be so surprised. We're telling her this coming Sunday on her 5th birthday. (Yes, I said 5th!) I can't believe it! My baby is going to be 5. We decided that if we wait on our trip, she may not believe in all of the princesses and other characters. Right now, she is SO into all of the fairy tales. We can't wait!
3. Job hunt... still no leads. In SS this morning, more than a few people requested prayer for jobs. The economy is bad, and unfortunately, it doesn't look like it's improving any time soon. We're just being persistent in our prayers.
4. Church... I just want to take time to praise God for bringing us to Holston Creek. We prayed for a long time about joining a church where we felt like we could serve and also get Makenna in classes with Godly, committed leaders. She loves going, and especially loves Preacher Reggie. I think he is her first official crush. :)
5. I'm officially going to be a math AND SCIENCE teacher next year. Not so sure how it will go, but I felt complimented when my principal told me that she couldn't move me out of math. She said that she needed my test scores. With all of the pressure on teachers, it is nice to be appreciated. I'm so thankful to work at Inman Intermediate with Godly people. I'm especially thankful for Christa and Donna. They have been my rocks this year even though they probably don't even know it.
6. Birthday party... we're going to have Makenna's party at the Young Chef's Academy. I found it online, and it sounds exciting. Most of all, it's affordable. :) You know I will post pics.
7. Family... please send lots of prayers for my family. My brother and his wife are still having problems. He has actually been staying with my parents for about 2 weeks. That leads me to the main prayer request. Please pray for my parents. I'm not sure how much more they can handle. Sometimes, I get so upset with my brother. Don't get me wrong. I love him, but I don't see how he can be so selfish. The other night, I asked him if he realized how much he upset our parents, and he said that he didn't think they were upset. If you can't see that your parents are heartbroken, then, you are selfish and not paying attention. I could go on and on, but I'll spare you all of the details.
I think I'm going to try the 25 random things about me next... most of it, you probably already know, but I'll try to throw in something new. :)

I didn't know Randy lost his job...i am definitely way behind on blogging. I'll be praying. What kind of work is he looking for?
You guys are going to LOVE Disney. It is absolutely Kaitlyn's favorite place on earth! When do you go?
His degree is in mechanical engineering, but he has worked in quality management in a manufacturing plant for 11 years. At this point, we're not picky. Thursday will be 4 weeks, and you know teacher salary isn't much.
We're going on Spring Break! March 28-April 4. The coolest thing is going to be flying with Makenna. We got all of our tickets with Randy's frequent flyer miles with only a $100.00 processing fee. :)
