Today, one of the most important people in my family went to be with our Heavenly Father. My great uncle Henry fought cancer valiantly all the way to the end. He was very special to us because my grandpa died before I turned 3. Uncle Henry was like a father to my mom and dad. He and his wife, Lib, had been married for 63 years. They got married when they were only teenagers. My mom and dad were there tonight when he took his final breath. My mom said that just before he died, he said, "I'm packing." He was getting ready to see Jesus face to face.
Dear God,
Thank you so much for Uncle Henry and Aunt Lib and for what they've meant to my family. I know my parents will treasure all of the memories of fishing trips over the years. Please be with Aunt Lib; their son & daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Linda; their grandchildren, Russell & Tama Waldrop, Kevin & Jennifer Campbell; their great-grandchildren, Peyton & Carson Campbell. Give them strength that only comes from you as they face the coming days. I love you, Lord!

I had a feeling last night at the Crusade, your mom's pastor was introducing the speaker and he mentioned that he wasn't going to be staying through the service because he had just gotten a call that one of his church members had passed away. I leaned over to Kenny and said it was probably your uncle. I'll be praying for your family. What a testimony for him to be thinking and longing for heaven at the end. It is sometimes unfathomable for me to think about loved ones in heaven and how wonderful it must be!!
We are praying for you and your entire family during the loss of this special family member. What a wonderful reunion you know he had when he entered the gates of heaven and saw the faces of friends and family. But most of all of his precious Saviour. Gives me cold chills to think of it. God bless you all.
