Makenna took a little time at Meet the Teacher to pose with her new teacher, Mrs. Trout.

This is Mrs. Ward... one of my best friends in all my years of teaching and now the instructional coach at Makenna's school.
Makenna had her new shoes on for the first day of school. 
Oh my goodness... where is my "baby"???? She's ready for the first day of first grade. 
Randy had to take her on the first day, because I didn't have anyone to cover my class for me this year. I told him to make lots of pictures. His idea of a lot of pics and my idea of a lot of pics are not the same. I'm really thankful that he got a few good ones. 
Today was Makenna's first soccer game of the season. She plays at our church on the Lady Gators team. This is the first year that it is all girls. She loved it! Check out some of these action shots.
This is one of her best friends, Elana.
