We are leaving tomorrow for MUSC to visit Randy's doctor there. Many of you don't know that Randy was diagnosed with sarcoidosis two years ago. 90% of people with the disease have it in their lungs, and he is part of the other 10%. Right now, it is in his lymph nodes. It can move from organ to organ causing damage, especially the brain and eyes. We just keep a close check on those two sites. The drs. here don't deal with many people who don't have it in the lungs, so we see a specialist who deals with it every day.
Randy's aptmt is Wednesday. My parents are going with us, so that we can take Makenna. We hope to visit our adoption agency while we are there. Please pray that we have safe travels and the dr. will be able to give Randy more options. Right now, Randy is in pain every day... some worse than others. His joints hurt, and he has lost almost 20 pounds. We just want answers.
